Normal life was thrown out of gear in Hyderabad due to continuous rain on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. Several colonies and low lying areas have submerged in rainwater. It was for the first time in 20 years that Hyderabad has received the highest rainfall. SDRF and fire brigade teams, who are involved in relief and rescue operations, have shifted the people residing in low lying localities to safer places. The streets and roads turned into ravines and vehicles parked on either side of the roads drifted according to flow of the rainwater.
