In a shocking development, former Rajya Sabha member and senior YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader, Vijayasai Reddy, has made sensational claims regarding the controversial Kakinada Port share transfer case. During a media interaction following his questioning by the Crime Investigation Department (CID), Reddy alleged that Vikranth Reddy, the son of YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Y.V. Subba Reddy, played a pivotal role in the deal.
Reddy’s comments shed light on the involvement of several key figures in the transaction, with Vikranth Reddy being described as the central figure behind the entire deal. According to Reddy, he introduced businessman K.V. Rao, the port owner, to Vikranth Reddy through a mutual acquaintance. However, Reddy firmly denied any personal financial dealings with K.V. Rao, despite his association with the port owner.
During the CID questioning, Reddy was reportedly asked if the investigation was aimed at protecting YSRCP chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Reddy was quick to dismiss these speculations, categorically stating that Jagan Mohan Reddy had no connection to the Kakinada Port deal.
Reddy also made claims regarding the close relationship between K.V. Rao and Y.V. Subba Reddy, alleging that the latter frequently stayed at a mansion in California owned by K.V. Rao during his visits to the United States. Despite these connections, Reddy insisted that Jagan Mohan Reddy had no involvement in the port deal and described the case as politically motivated.
In a further bombshell, Reddy revealed that K.V. Rao had openly stated to their common friends that Vikranth Reddy was the sole person responsible for handling the port share transaction from beginning to end. Reddy indicated that he was fully aware of the details surrounding the deal but chose to withhold certain information for the time being.
Reddy did not mince words when discussing his feelings toward K.V. Rao, referring to him as a political broker and expressing his strong dislike for the businessman. He also took the opportunity to refute any accusations that he had succumbed to inducements or political pressure, particularly those made by Jagan Mohan Reddy. He made it clear that he had not been influenced by any external factors and emphasized that he would not be swayed by future criticisms or accusations.
Speaking about his current activities, Vijayasai Reddy revealed that he has shifted his focus from politics to farming. He added that while he once had devotion to a political leader, his faith is now solely in God, signaling a significant shift in his personal and professional priorities.
The allegations made by Vijayasai Reddy have sent shockwaves through the political landscape, and the ongoing CID investigation into the Kakinada Port share transfer case is expected to draw more attention in the coming days. The claims and counterclaims surrounding the port deal suggest a high-stakes political drama, with key figures in the YSRCP caught in the crossfire.
