Rekha Gupta Sworn in as Delhi Chief Minister

Delhi, February 20, 2025 — Rekha Gupta has officially taken the oath of office as the new Chief Minister of Delhi in a grand ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan. The ceremony was administered by Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena. Gupta, who assumed the highest political office in the National Capital Territory, was joined by a team of newly appointed ministers, marking a significant shift in the city’s political landscape.

The ministers sworn in alongside Gupta include Parvesh Sharma, Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh, who are set to assume various portfolios in her administration.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President J.P. Nadda were present to witness the historic moment. The event also saw the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, along with other chief ministers from NDA-ruled states.
