Palnadu Police Conduct Essay Competition as Part of Police Commemoration Week 2026

Palnadu District | As part of the Police Commemoration Week–2026, the Palnadu District Police organized an essay writing competition for police officers and personnel to promote awareness about social responsibility, public service, and the sacrifices made by police personnel.

The competition was held on Tuesday at the Conference Hall of the District Police Office under the directions of Superintendent of Police Jagadish Adahalli, IPS, and under the supervision of Additional SP Rohith Kumar Choudary, IPS.

The participants wrote essays on several socially relevant topics, including “Drugs Destroy Dreams – How Can We Build a Drug-Free Society?”, “The Life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as an Inspiration for Youth”, “Cyber Crimes and Public Awareness”, and “A Safe Society Begins with Me.”

Police officers and personnel expressed their views with clarity and confidence, highlighting the growing threat of drug abuse and its impact on youth, families, and society. They emphasized that building a drug-free society requires the collective efforts of the police, educational institutions, parents, voluntary organizations, and the public.

The participants also reflected on the theme “The Sacrifice and Service Behind the Uniform,” stating that policing is not merely a profession but a lifelong commitment to protecting society. They recalled how police personnel often sacrifice family time, festivals, and personal celebrations while remaining on duty to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.

Special tribute was paid to police martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty while maintaining peace and law and order. Participants stressed that the courage, dedication, and selfless service of the martyrs should continue to inspire every police officer to serve the public with integrity and commitment.

Additional SP Rohith Kumar Choudary, IPS, Reserve Inspector Gopinath, and several police officers and staff attended the programme. The event served as a meaningful initiative to strengthen awareness among police personnel about their responsibilities while honouring the legacy and sacrifices of police martyrs.
